I have tried going to device manager and uninstalling the LAN adapter/driver, reinstalling latest from MSI and Killer directly. I can still plug my laptop (MSI GS70 w/ Killer e2200) in to the same port/cable and negotiate at 1Gbps. This is the same behavior on my MSI laptop, but that one has no problem connecting at 1Gbps. If I go to properties, under advanced configuration, the Speed/Duplex drop down only lets me select 10M, 100M, and Auto Negotiate. When I go to Network and Sharing Center and select change adapter settings, double clicking in the LAN Controller shows the speed is 100Mbps. I have a Gigabit Internet connection, along with a Gigabit capable router that I have used for over a year.

Long story short, the LAN adapter is only negotiating to 100Mbps. The first day or so I had it up and running, I had it on WiFi, so I do not know if the issues was there from the start, but after I connected to PC to LAN, I noticed my bandwidth was slow. I just built a new customer PC using the x299 M7 ACK mobo.

MSI support has been less than helpful so far. So, after doing all above there's still an issue.Hi, I don't normally post on these forums, but I have tried everything I can think of and am out of ideas. TorrentTestSpeed(WIFI): I also did a test by downloading via the wireless card and same ISO image and the speed were 11.7MB/s which is what my current speed package is from my provider. This test was done via ethernet connection and as you can see the speed for download is 2.5MB/s and it went upto 2.9MB/s but not higher.ħ. TorrentTestSpeed(Ethernet): I decided to download UBUNTU ISO image from the website provided link. So decided to do another test via torrent.Ħ. I disabled the ethernet adapter and re-enabled and the speed was showing 1.0GBPS again. Speedtest-KillerNetwork: The speeds are locked under 100MBPS. KillerNetworkingSuite: Just a shot of what the suite looks like.ĥ. AfterRestart: Speed shows 100MBPS, websites are loading properly in browser.Ĥ. But still I can't load in the browser as well.ģ. I'm trying to load in the background as you can see in the screenshot.Ģ.-PingStatus: As you can see from the screenshot there is packet loss but only once. AfterInstall-NoRestart: After installing the speed shows 1.0GBPS but none of the website loads in the browser. KillerPerformanceSuite - As recommended above - & from UWP from Microsoft Store.ġ. OS: OEM OS Windows 8, Upgraded to LIcensed Window 10 Professional

Hardware, Service Provider & other relevant details:Įthernet, Wireless & Bluetooth Adapter: Killer NIC 1202 802.11n WiFi I use BitDefender Total Security 2021 and for these test I have completely disabled the Windows Defender Services and have uninstalled BitDefender. Okay, here's what I've done so far and all the test I've done.
